Fundraiser Spotlight
Running for Wellbeing: Kate’s Inspiring Challenge
In 2026, Kate Abraham, a wellbeing consultant and passionate ultra runner, is taking on three ultra marathons to raise funds for the St Andrew’s Hospital Wellbeing Centre - a sanctuary designed to support patients living with cancer.
The Wellbeing Centre offers programs that nurture mind, body, and spirit, including mindfulness, yoga, creative workshops, and gentle movement.
Kate understands the powerful link between movement, mindfulness, and recovery. Through her incredible challenge, she’s helping us create a space where patients and families can find calm, connection, and hope.
Every step Kate takes brings us closer to making wellbeing part of every healing journey.
West Beach Surf Life Saving Club
Each year, thousands of South Australians take to the beach to swim, walk, and run in support of breast cancer care at St Andrew’s Hospital.
The annual Pink & Blue Swim/Walk/Run, organised by the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club, has raised vital funds for equipment and refurbished spaces for our Breast Care team.
Thanks to this generosity, we’ve enhanced care for patients and families. One remarkable outcome is the appointment of a dedicated Breast Care Nurse in the chemotherapy suite—an invaluable role that has already transformed the patient experience with compassion and expert support.
Keep an eye on the West Beach SLSC website for registration dates for 2027.
